Last night’s first IMPACT WRESTLING of the “New Era” brought in 292,000 viewers, down 1,000 viewers from the previous week, while they kept the audience from the previous week, I believe they are going to have to start rolling out consistent storylines if they plan on building the ratings. Watching this show I felt as if I was watching something for the first time and couldn’t understand really what was happening, after The Hardy’s left abruptly and that storyline had to end, then Mike & Maria left and that storyline had to end, there really was nothing there to keep anyone interested other than new management that seemed more interested in dissing the previous management and throwing new people in the mix all of a sudden than gradually introduce them. It felt completely weird to me, next weeks viewership should tell whether or not this hurt the company, I believe it did. Nobody wants to listen to Bruce & Dutch talk.
